This is critical for moving most our our engineers to Inbox. It is also making it impossible to work on long term tickets in Inbox. Imagine a ticket with multiple phases or items that need to get done. We utilize Autotask checklist to have a central "remember to do these things before closing the ticket" area in the ticket that can dynamically update or change.
A simple implementation for this could be to have a special message in the thread that uses markdown checkboxes to replicate the checklist and then allows you to edit it / check the check boxes
