Support for Multiple Language Preferences in Magic AI
L
Liam Saunders
Magic AI currently only responds in American English, which may not align with customer preferences in various regions. For example, customers in the UK may expect British English spellings ("customise" instead of "customize"), and global users might require other language options as well.
Request: Add support for selecting different language preferences for Magic AI, including but not limited to:
British English
Australian English
Canadian English
Other major languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German, etc.)
Key Features: A dropdown menu or setting in the admin panel to select the preferred language for AI responses. Regional spelling differences (e.g., "colour" vs. "color") and localized terminology.
Expandable language support for other global languages over time.
Impact: Improves customer experience by tailoring AI responses to regional language expectations.
Reduces the need for manual editing of AI-generated responses.
Enhances the AI's usability for international markets, making it feel more natural and culturally appropriate

Customizable Default Language and Communication Style for Chatbot System Messages
R
Robin Maas
Description:
Currently, Thread’s chatbot in Microsoft Teams and Messenger defaults to English for all system messages and automated responses, regardless of the organization’s preferred language or communication style. This feature would allow administrators to configure both the default language (e.g., Dutch, Spanish, French) and the tone and style of system-generated messages—such as prompts, ticket creation confirmations, and error notifications to align with the organization’s branding and communication standards.
Benefits:
Ensures chatbot communication reflects the organization’s language, tone, and style preferences
Enhances accessibility and inclusivity for non-English-speaking users
Promotes a consistent and professional user experience across all interactions
Reduces the need for manual translation or message customization
Strengthens brand identity through tailored messaging.

Language translator

We would love to have a language translator built into Inbox in Thread. When messages arrive in English and an option is on you could deliver in Spanish and when techs respond in Spanish translate to English for delivery to English only customers.
We have techs working out of Mexico and some of them aren't fluent in English so this would be a big help.

Dutch Language Support for Chatbot Interpretation and Responses
R
Robin Maas
Description:
At present, the chatbot supports English, Spanish, and French for interpreting user input and generating responses. This feature would extend support to Dutch, allowing the chatbot to detect Dutch-language queries and respond entirely in Dutch—including both system messages and AI-generated replies.
Benefits:
Improves usability for Dutch-speaking users and organizations
Promotes consistent communication in native languages across support channels
Minimizes translation errors and misunderstandings
Encourages adoption in regions where Dutch is the primary language

I'd love to just have the auto translation of inbound request just added automatically to the internal notes.
