would be great that when you move to another thread/ticket the timer would auto start after a small like maybe 5-10 seconds

Can you add an option in preferences to start the timer when you create "New Thread" and if you cancel it, it removes it. If you create it, it has a timer going with it right away.

I would add to this and say provide the option to auto start a timer when a Thread is open for more than say 5 seconds.
My guys forget to start the timer, and by time they have hit reply, the ticket is completed.
