Execute a slash command when sending text (and not just selecting via the action menu)

When entering the following command:
/connectwise State Done
It seems to post it into the ticket as a note, rather than executing an action.
Clicking through the options works just fine, we’re just trying to find a way to quickly move tickets/threads into the done pile.
